Dr. Ben Friberg


Initially, Dr. Friberg studied Business Management at Oregon State University. After he graduated, he worked for 3 years as vice president of a construction company. Though he found the work enjoyable, he always felt that a career in healthcare would be more fulfilling. Dr. Friberg decided to go back to school to pursue a career in dentistry and gain the opportunity to make a positive impact on peoples’ lives.

He earned his DDS from SUNY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and moved to Wilmington soon after. Now that he has put down roots with his wife and two children, he’s excited to open his own practice and provide patient-focused dental care here in Porters Neck. If you’re looking for a friendly, honest dentist in Wilmington who has a passion for helping patients succeed, Dr. Friberg would love to meet you! When he’s not in the office, you can find him out fishing, at home brewing beer, or spending nice days at the beach with his family.

Meet MEADOW, Thrive's Rehabilitative Facility Dog

A Trusted Companion for Your Visit

MEADOW is our Rehabilitative Facility Dog, and she is specially trained by paws4people® to help our patients who suffer from dental anxiety or fear. MEADOW loves to sit calmly in the laps of our patients while they get the dental treatment they need. She provides deep pressure therapy to lower anxiety levels and induce feelings of safety. By the time you leave your appointment you’ll have a new friend! MEADOW has over 300 hours of training that make her a great addition to our team at Thrive Family Dental.

Every aspect of our office was built with you in mind. Our state-of-the-art technology and modern amenities make it easy to give our patients the quality dental experience they deserve.
